Terms of service

Last updated 11 September 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Andrew Taylor, a sole trader in the United Kingdom trading as Collabspot ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using Collabspot you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.

Your account

Your music stays yours

You keep every right you have in the audio, notes, credits and anything else you upload. We do not claim ownership of any of it.

So that we can run the service, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, copy, process, stream and display your content, only to the people you share it with or make it public to, and only for as long as it is on Collabspot. That licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies other people on a shared project still rely on, as the privacy policy explains.

We will not sell your content, license it to anyone else, or use it to train AI.

What you must not do

You can report content and block people from inside the app. We review reports, and we may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms, with or without notice.

Credits and collaborations

Collabspot records credits the people involved agree to. It is a record, not a contract: it does not by itself decide ownership, royalties or splits, and any deal between collaborators is between them. We are not a party to it and cannot settle disputes about it.

Copyright complaints

If you believe something on Collabspot infringes your rights, email support@collabspot.app with what it is, where it is, and why it is yours. We will look into it and remove it where appropriate.

The service

We work to keep Collabspot running and your files safe, but it is provided as it is, and we cannot promise it will never be unavailable or lose data. Keep your own copies of anything that matters.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under English law. Otherwise, we are not liable for indirect or unforeseeable loss, or for loss of profits, and while the service is free our total liability to you is limited to £100.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may close an account that breaks these terms, or close the service with reasonable notice.

Changes and the law

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you before the change takes effect. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, though if you live elsewhere in the UK you can also use your local courts.
